MyPoints Review

 Usa and Ca, Only

                               usa and canada only register

MyPoints Review in summary: MyPoints is great – a solid choice. Nice range of surveys and regular payouts. We recommend signing up. Good interface and good experiences from our side. We give it an 9/10.
MyPoints is a popular rewards website that offers its members the possibility of accumulating points through surveys and numerous different ways, in order to exchange them for prizes or cash.
However, before deciding if MyPoints proposes a legit and easy way to make money from your house, let’s study in depth how the site works and what the membership consists of.

Website overview
MyPoints is an online panel that has been rewarding its members since 1996, and we must admit that this is quite a long time. That’s much longer than our favorite, InboxDollars, so they are probably doing something right, aren’t they?
Acquiring membership with MyPoints is available to everyone in US and Canada and is completely free. However, if you do not live in the United States, you can still sign up for an account, but you should keep in mind that not all prizes will be available to you.
Once you sign up, you can immediately start earning points, and that’s what makes MyPoints stand out in the market of reward panels; it offers an incredible number of ways through which you can muster up points that will later be turned into gift cards, airline miles or cash, if that’s what you are up for.
Some of the many options that you have to add points are the following:
  • Surveys—Sharing your opinion in surveys aids with the MyPoints market research program and lets you add up points, too
  • Shop online—MyPoints has a list of over 2,000 popular retailers to shop from. If you are planning on making an online purchase through one of these, it is best to do it through the MyPoints website so you can redeem points that will vary according to your buying
  • Read email—Once you sign up for MyPoints, you will start getting BonusMail that will reward you with points just for clicking
  • Local deals—You can also earn points through Groupon, LivingSocial goods, and voucher purchase
  • Watch videos—you can choose playlists that will reward you with a number of points daily when watched. You can both watch videos through your desktop/laptop and through your smartphone
  • Search the web—If you use the MyPoints Yahoo! based web engine, you have the chance to win points randomly
  • Print coupons—By printing as many coupons as you want and buying with them at your local store, you will be able to redeem points, as well
  • Play games—Playing popular games can also be exchanged for points
  • Referring friends—When you refer any new member to MyPoints, you will start getting 10% of their qualifying points. In addition, you have the opportunity to send unlimited invitations
Once you have enough points to redeem, which is 480 points ($3), you can exchange them for gift cards that include 70 top retail and restaurant brands, travel miles that get transferred to your United MileagePlus account, or a direct deposit to your Visa prepaid card or PayPal account, which can later be sent to your bank account.
MyPoints is so versatile that it even offers an option called Shop In-Store, which lets you redeem points for eligible purchases by uploading the receipt to your website account.
How does the survey system work?
The surveys, which is the most common way of getting paid through market research panels, are an easy way of making money, and through MyPoints, you can get paid with real cash.
When you sign up for a member account, you will be asked to introduce yourself by providing personal information; this will allow them to see which criteria you meet and send you surveys you can fill out and gain points with.
While answering the surveys, you will gain points for every 10 profile questions you answer. As with most paid survey sites, they will not tell you until you are answering the questions whether you match the correct criteria or not to be eligible for finishing the survey, which means that there is a possibility of being screened out before you are done.
However, MyPoints will give you 1-point if you happen to not qualify and will pay you up to 5 points a day for not qualifying for a survey. You will normally find out within a second or two if that survey isn’t a good fit, so you don’t waste your time on it.
The amount of money you can get for a survey will vary according to the survey’s length, but is never more than $10 per survey, and what is truly an admirable thing about MyPoints is that the survey points are available for immediate use, in comparison to other paid survey websites that make you wait up to 12 weeks before you see your updated balance.

Pros
Firstly, MyPoints has a functional app that you can download for both iOS or Android. Once you have installed the app on your device, you can immediately add 100 points to your balance.
Another thing that MyPoints offers is an internet browser bar called Score, which is quite useful when you are about to make an online purchase, as most people tend to forget to make the buy through the website in order to be eligible for redeeming points. This bar also offers new coupons and deals available to keep you up to date with promotions.
With MyPoints, you have diverse ways to add up points and exchange them for real money, and it is not only through shopping; playing video games and watching video playlists can sometimes be a good break from answering numerous survey questions. Also, some of the games randomly offer the possibility of big wins.
Although some of the methods to earn money, like coupons, take up to 90 days before showing up in your account balance, survey payments are immediately charged to your points, allowing you to acquire a gift card or transfer it to your PayPal account in a matter of minutes. This means that you can see real money in your bank account in as little as a week.
Finally, MyPoints offers you the chance to earn points solely by using a web browser, letting you muster up to 100 points a day for 41 searches you make.

Cons
MyPoints only really works for those people who reside in the United States or in Canada, so if you are living in any other country in the world, this is not the right website for you.
In addition, to transfer your money to PayPal, you need to have at least $25 worth in points, which may not be much, but still demands quite some time. If one survey pays 75 points on average, and you need around 3,970 points before you transfer money to PayPal; do the math to figure out how many surveys you need to finish before that happens.
Along with this, the trade-off is not consistent and will be determined by what rewards you are choosing. Although for a $25 AMC gift card you might only need 3,520 points, if you want to get one from Amazon, you will need to accumulate 3,950 points.

Survey Junkie Review

                                                      Millennial Money icon RATING
                 9.5 / 10

If you’ve ever Googled “ways to make money online,” you’ve come across dozens and dozens of different “survey sites” that claim you can make hundreds of dollars in your spare time.
There are countless survey panels out there that you can join, and all of them claim to be the best.
If you’re looking for a way to make some money from the comfort of your couch, survey sites can be an excellent way to do that, but not all of them are legit.
Some of them are complete scams that are only going to steal your information or waste your time.

HOW DOES SURVEY JUNKIE WORK?

Like any other survey website, you make money on Survey Junkie by (you guessed it) taking surveys. After you’ve set up your account (instructions for that below), you can start taking surveys right away.
With Survey Junkie, you aren’t just answering general questions about politics or your weight. The questions are focused, and allow you to express your opinion which, in turn, helps brands deliver better products and services. You become an influencer!
Before you click on a survey, you’ll see how many points it’s worth and how many minutes it will take. They’re usually between 10 and 200 points, and they can take you anywhere from a few minutes to 20+ minutes. These are nice features so you have a clear idea of the commitment and the reward.
Once you’ve taken enough surveys and have reached the $5 minimum, you can redeem the survey points for cash or gift cards. Some of the gift cards they offer are from big names like Starbucks and Amazon. If you’d rather just cash out, they’ll send the money right to your PayPal account.
After you’ve finished a survey, the points will show up in your Lifetime Points column on the left side of your computer screen (a lot of survey sites don’t make the points reflect on your account right away).

SURVEY JUNKIE POINTS TO CASH

With Survey Junkie, one point is equal to one cent. Once you hit 500,00 points, you’ve reached the threshold for cashing out – $5. You can then choose to transfer it to your PayPal account or redeem it for a gift card.
One important note: Your points will expire if you stop using your account. To keep your account active and make sure you keep your points, you just have to take a survey at least once every 12 months. Many other survey sites expire your points a lot sooner than 12 months (and that’s mostly just annoying).
Also, you can earn points for surveys you take that you don’t qualify for. Some survey sites will take you through a survey only for you to learn that you don’t qualify for it. That means you don’t earn any points – you’ve just wasted precious time.
With Survey Junkie, you can earn points even if you take a survey you don’t qualify for.

SURVEY JUNKIE HACKS

Here are a few ways that you can earn extra money on top of taking surveys:
  • Install the Survey Junkie Pulse browser extension to earn passive points – if you’re okay with Survey Junkie monitoring your web activity.
  • Use the Survey Junkie referral program – get points for getting others to sign up
  • Open a separate email account just for Survey Junkie – that way, you’ll stay more organized and won’t accidentally miss a survey

CAN YOU ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY WITH SURVEY JUNKIE?

Yes, you can make money with Survey Junkie, but the question really is, “How much can I make?”
In other words, is it worth your time?
Well, let’s just say this is not a career option. However, it can be a good replacement for wasting time on YouTube or getting in Twitter fights. Instead of scrolling, why not make some dollar bills? Heck, you could take surveys while you’re watching Netflix – make money while you veg out.
But let’s look at the reward-time commitment ratio and see if you think it’s worth your time.

HOW MUCH DOES SURVEY JUNKIE PAY PER HOUR?

As I mentioned earlier, each survey will give you 10-200 points with the time spent on each ranging from three minutes to 23 minutes or more. So let’s take a real example to figure out the hourly rate.
If you take a 10-point survey that’s estimated to take 6 minutes, and if 10 points equal $0.10, then you’d be making $1 per hour. This is assuming the survey takes you 6 minutes – in many cases, you can go much quicker than the estimated time.
But the point here is clear: those aren’t impressive numbers. On the other hand, when compared to other survey sites, that’s actually very good.
And the overall money you make with Survey Junkie depends on several things: how many surveys they invite you to take, the number of surveys you actually take, and how long each survey takes you.
When you first join, there may be a slew of surveys to take. But typically, people qualify for roughly 1-4 surveys each week.
Think of this way: most users probably make enough money to pay their Netflix bill each month. However, I have heard of Survey Junkie users making over $200 some months when they’re in an ideal target demographic.

DO YOU REALLY GET PAID FROM SURVEY JUNKIE?

This question keeps coming up because sites like Survey Junkie can seem too good to be true.
As I said above, the better question to ask is “Will I get paid enough for my time from Survey Junkie?”
But to answer the original question: Yes, Survey Junkie will redeem your points for cash or gift cards.
They can do this because your opinions — along with thousands of other peoples’ opinions — have value to companies creating new products and services.
These companies contract with Survey Junkie to find out how their new products would be received in the marketplace before they spend valuable time and resources creating the product.
And Survey Junkie needs you to help deliver its end of the deal — public opinion. (Hence its willingness to pay for your time.)
Of course, public opinion isn’t the only factor product researchers consider, but it’s part of a bigger puzzle that goes into the research process.

HOW TO SIGN UP WITH SURVEY JUNKIE

So now that we’ve covered the nitty-gritty, are you ready to get started with Survey Junkie?
To start, just visit Survey Junkie’s website and enter your info. You’ll be sharing basic information, like your email address, name, address, zip code, gender, and date of birth.
And one convenient thing is that you don’t have to verify your email before getting into your account (although eventually, you will have to verify it).
The first thing you’ll see after signing up is your dashboard. On the left side, as I mentioned earlier, you’ll see your Lifetime points, your Redeemable points and how much cash they’re worth, and your QuickStart Checklist.
Each step on this checklist earns you points, and it includes Confirm Email (25 points), How It Works (5 points), and Complete Profile (50 points).
You can then go to the Survey tab and start answering questions and earning money. You can choose which type of “research activity” you want, which include things like online focus groups, product testing, and phone surveys.
Then to complete your profile, you’ll have to answer a series of questions about your lifestyle, like if you have a pet and what type of job you have.
This will take around a minute to complete. As you can tell from the image below, you earn a specified number of points for each survey completed. Really, a point is equal to a single cent. You will get paid out in $10 minimum increments. So keep up those surveys!
Another important feature is the estimated amount of time each survey will take to complete. This estimate is typically an overestimate. You can speed through the questions pretty rapidly as long as you are telling the truth.
Lastly, if you want to do surveys on the go, like in the car on a long trip, or on your lunch break, you can download the survey app, making it even easier to earn extra cash!
